The Creative Reset SistaCircle (Members)

$30.00

Meeting Weekly for 12 weeks on Thursdays, 7-8:30 PM ET (VIRTUALLY)

Starting May 14

The Process:

The Creative Reset offers participants a space of dedicated creative practice. In this 12-week series we will share the values of creative legacy through the meditation on sacred texts from the Black art space, explore the dedicated documentation of our process and personal archiving and maintain a topic structure based on the four seasons. We will concentrate our energy through the following practices:

Daily Creative Care

In the Artist’s Way Julia Cameron offers Morning Pages as a practice inquiry and letting go. We are inviting you to engage the altar of creativity daily.  Choose a daily activity of creative care and document each iteration.

Weekly Creative Devotion

90 minutes dedicated to creative devotion. Undivided attention. Presence with the craft of participants choosing between grounding and releasing. Shared art prompts and instruction will also be offered.

Random Brave Actions

The Artist’s Date is offered as a means to gather inspiration. It is an event participants dedicate time to sit in curiosity, play, novelty or whatever mood benefits their creative process.  Nourishing experiences to activate creative inspiration are encouraged at the frequency desired.

Quarterly Community Experience

Museum trips can feel vital and engaging when accompanied with others. Creating in the park feels restorative when we gather and pool resources. Collective creative care orients us towards joy.

Led by Catrya (artist, aunt, and creative facilitator) and Kenisha (sewist, nurturer, soon-to-be-retired) we are resting into this process. Our intention is to hold space for creativity and connection. We are calling in balance and flow.
