This is Part 1 of a two-part series.
Threads of Memory is an intuitive stitching workshop and story-sharing circle. The workshop was inspired by Toni Morrison's 1987 novel Beloved, where she coined the term Rememory to describe a painful memory that exists beyond the self. In this two-part workshop, we will share stories about our personal/ancestral histories and alchemize our pain by creating textile art as a creative expression of engaging with rememory.
What to expect:
✨Honor the legacy of Toni Morrison and celebrate Black History & Futures Month
✨Experiment with intuitive stitching and creating textile art as a spiritual practice
✨Participate in a story-sharing circle and practice embodied presence and communal care with a supportive group of Black women
limited to 9 slots
