SpeakEasy is a series of storytelling listening parties with our favorite artists. Artists that make us feel free and joyous as Black women; our own sacred texts (shout out to Ebony Janice). Storytelling is what heals us. So why not share our song-inspired memories with each other?

You know the Richmond girls couldn't let this moment pass without celebrating the life of our hometown legend, D'Angelo.

Kick back with us for a night of dancing, storytelling, and fellowship at the dreamy Adjourn Tea Studio. This event is for you if you love good music, good company, and are looking for a safe space to be yourself with Black people who loved D.

We'll provide a few themed small bites and drinks (Chicken Grease & Brown Sugar, anyone?), a mojo bag-making station ( think: The Root), and custom floral pre-rolls available for purchase by ISoul Naturals. Please feel free to BYOB with a bite or drink to share. Let's dance, celebrate, and share stories that help us remember the greatness of this artist that we lost way too soon.

Tickets are $25. Ticket proceeds go to the Dream Keeper and Flourish Funds, supporting the work of the Lab and Adjourn Tea Studio in the DMV community.
